The ESC of Central Ohio has unique support programs to help districts and schools navigate the complexities of the Resident Educator program.
Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training is a face-to-face event. New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the 12-hour Mentor Academy Training to receive state mentor certification. The two-day Academy focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of instructional mentoring. Mentors are introduced to the essential content of mentoring to prepare them to support the instructional growth and development of Resident Educators. Attendance on both days is required. Trainings will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Registration must be completed through STARS by logging into your OH ID portal. When you get to the page titled "My Apps", scroll down to the "Training and Registration App". Click "Open App". You will arrive at the STARS dashboard. Click on "Event Search". Use the keyword "RE" to search for the Resident Educator Mentor Academy Trainings. Make sure the dates align within the correct event dates and the event owner is "ESC of Central Ohio".
