Description:

Kryssie Smith has been in the education space for nearly 15 years with the majority of that time being spent as an elementary classroom teacher. Her most recent teaching assignment was middle school technology, where she served one year before joining TECH CORPS. TECH CORPS is closing the opportunity gap in technology by delivering high-quality, career-connected technology programs to K-12 students and educators.

Founded in 1995 and with a demonstrated track record of success, TECH CORPS ensures all K-12 students have access to programs that build essential skills, boost confidence, and expand opportunities-ultimately unlocking the door to a successful future. In 2020, Kryssie was recognized for her contributions in education when she was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, the highest honor for K-12 STEM educators in the United States. Kryssie has served as both president and secretary of the Central Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics (COCTM), which is an affiliate of the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics (OCTM). She was also a member of the Computer Science Standards Writing Team for the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
