Let's bring district leaders, social workers and guidance teams together to brain storm ideas on ways to reduce the mental health stigma with our families, enhance communication with outside providers and provide the safest re-entry for students returning to school after hospitalizations. With suicide attempts being up 250% in the past year we need to ensure we are doing our best when students return to school. With multiple voices represented at the table, we can develop a plan that focuses on strengths, removes barriers, and provides opportunities for students and families to be supported. On June 21, 2022, the ESC of Central Ohio is facilitating a focus group to explore the challenges and solutions to support safe re-entry to school after hospitalizations.
