Description:

This Lunch and Learn session will explore the significance of Native American Heritage Month, the importance of honoring Indigenous peoples during Thanksgiving, and also will provide K-12 educators with ideas to integrate these themes into their classrooms during this month and beyond. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Native American communities and reflect on ways to reframe Thanksgiving to honor Indigenous perspectives.
