Over the past several months, the ESC’s Governing Board has been reviewing potential candidates for the position of treasurer/CFO. The agency's current treasurer/CFO, Mr. David Varda, is retiring this summer.  

On Friday, March 28th, the Governing Board officially approved the ESC’s current assistant treasurer, David Weaver, as its next treasurer/CFO beginning August 1, 2025. Mr. Weaver has been with the ESC for 10 years as its assistant treasurer, supporting the agency through much growth and change over that time. His move to treasurer/CFO will provide for a near-seamless change in the ESC’s fiscal support and services to school district clients and agency partners.  

Prior to his work with the ESC, he worked with numerous school districts and state and local government entities and has provided audit and consulting services throughout his career. He is a licensed treasurer and a graduate of Otterbein College.
