Professional development will be provided and a collaborative community of practice will be developed to lead districts through the essential elements for career pathway quality and assist them with implementation in their district.
Essential Elements
- Student outcomes-driven practice
- Equity and access
- Program of study
- Learning and teaching
- Work-based learning
- Personalized student support
- Pathway leadership and partnerships
This training also will incorporate awareness of EnvisionIT (EIT). The EIT tool and OhioMeansJobs K-12 website can be used for student career pathway development with a focus on what administrators can do to support teachers, promote transition and create a culture of change. Districts will implement the EIT tool to assist students in identifying the skills and qualifications required for occupations aligned with core content areas and utilize that information in a self-directed Individualized Education Program (IEP) process.
