To be considered for an ESC program or service, personnel from the student’s school district of residence must complete and submit one of the following:

Programs & Services

Campus-Based Transition
The ESC has partnered with area institutions of higher education to give Central Ohio students with disabilities an opportunity to explore, develop and refine skills necessary to enter competitive employment.

Deaf/Hard of Hearing
The Deaf/Hard of Hearing Program is designed to meet the unique needs of students identified with hearing losses ranging from moderate to profound.

Early Learning Peer Model Program
This half-day, center-based early learning program provides trans-disciplinary services to preschoolers with and without disabilities in public school buildings and childcare centers.

ED Collaborative Learning Centers
The ESC offers classes designed to support the unique needs of students in a public school setting who experience significant emotional and behavioral challenges that impede learning.

Instructional Coaching | Special Education
The ESC of Central Ohio offers instructional coaching to teachers and paraprofessionals working with students with low-incidence disabilities and autism.

Low Incidence
The ESC provides classes designed to support the unique needs of students in the public school setting who experience moderate to intensive disabilities.

Specialized On-Site Support Team
The SOS Team will help build the capacity of teachers, counselors and administrators who are tasked with developing programs for students needing intense individualized academic and behavioral supports by providing comprehensive, integrated professional development.

Structured Teaching for Autistic and Communications-Delayed Kids (STACK)
The STACK program provides a continuum of educational services for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.

Structured Teaching Reinforced In a Visual Environment (STRIVE)
The STRIVE program is for students identified under any disability category that need a highly structured environment with visual supports.

Transitioning for Success
The ESC is partnering with The Ohio State University’s Nisonger Center and several school districts to provide school-wide comprehensive and systematic opportunities for students to learn about the education and skills needed in various occupational pathways to choose a career that matches their strengths and interests.
